A guide for the final pitches for HealthHack Online 2020

Technical Details

  • 4 minutes for the pitch, 3 minutes for judges questions

  • Each team will be provided with a Google Slides deck, that has a HealthHack Online 2020 theme, for them to use as their pitch deck. We’ll have that to teams Saturday 1st August (or sooner)

Tips on how to do a great HealthHack final pitch

  • Relax! You’re already a winner just by finishing HealthHack

  • What is the one thing you’re most excited about that your team achieved over the weekend? Build your pitch around that one thing. If nothing else you’ll have told people the most exciting thing you did

  • Start your pitch by restating your problem. You don’t need to explain it again, there’s not enough time, just a summary will be fine.

  • You can have multiple people from your team present in your video and multiple people on stage to answer questions from the judges.

  • Have one slide that lists what technology you used. We’re run under auspices of Linux Australia so we have an audience that includes a lot of people who love the details

  • Live demos are fraught with danger. Where possible record your demo and play a video instead. This is a great example of recording your pitch from last year.

  • Grab some inspiration from the pitches from 2018 and 2019 on HealthHack YouTube channel
